Cletus L. Bush, 76, of Boaz, W.Va., passed away Jan. 19, 2014, at his residence, under the loving care of his family.
He was born March 5, 1938, in Revere, W.Va., a son of the late Arley and Iva G. Boyce Bush.
Cletus had served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post of Williamstown. He retired from the glass manufacturer, Comar Corp in Vineland, N.J., and returned to his native West Virginia in 2001.
Surviving Cletus are son, Cletus N. "Butch" Bush, and daughter, Deanna Bush, both of Williamstown; four grandchildren, Diana Marie McGee and Camron, Patrick R. Bush, Katie A. Bush, Freddie Stouffer III and Heidi; four great-grandchildren, Cody, Owen, Zoey and Paylezy; brother, Donald Bush of Tanner, W.Va.; sister, Donna Grogg of Glenville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Cletus was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi L. Kitchen Bush in 2011; daughter, Kimberly L. Staddon; brothers, Richard, James and Robert Bush; sisters, Mildred Yoak, Lois Carpenter, Ruby Weaver, Margaret Dunbar, Christine L. Minner and Roberta West Wunderlich.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Laura Godwin officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown, with full military rites by American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, and for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
