Alma Jean Ecker Perrine

Alma Jean Ecker Perrine, 83, of Hockingport, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 16, 2014, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

She was born in Wood County, W.Va., on March 13, 1930, and was the daughter of the late George Morris and Laura Rebecca Stillwell Ecker.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg, where she had been a member of the Church Lady's Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She had also been a member of the Elks, American Legion, Moose and the Eagles. She loved to play pool and cards.

Survivors include her two sons, Gregory (Gail) Perrine of Reedsville, Ohio, and Stephen D. Perrine of Marietta, Ohio; her daughter, Stephanie (Bob) Peregoy of Parma Heights, Ohio; her daughter-in-law, Karen Perrine of Hockingport, Ohio; her grandchildren, Alison (Josh) Crumley, Bethany (Jeremy) Rogers, Nicholas (Brandy) Perrine, Tanya (Dean) Jones, Michelle (Jason) Isaacs, Amanda (Jason) Reed, Jason (Katie) Perrine, Dustin (Heather) Peregoy, Kristen Peregoy and Traci (Chuck) Ryant; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her small beloved companion, Paige.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde O. Perrine; her son, George C. Perrine; and a sister, Patricia Rose Ecker Buckley.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, today from 2-7 p.m. There will be a Wake Service at 7 p.m. today.
