Donald G. Grady, 71, of Parkersburg, W.Va., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday Jan. 9, 2014 peacefully at his residence.
He was born in Spencer, W.Va., a son of the late Rondall and Beatrice (Hicks) Grady.
He was an accountant for over 45 years and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He collected lighthouses, enjoyed reading, judging races at Pennsboro and Ohio Valley Speedways. He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid collector of Snoopy and Charles Schultz items.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Dawna Elaine Grady; three sons Kenneth Shawn Grady, Rondall Wallace Grady, and Joshua Caleb Grady all of Parkersburg; two daughters Kimberly Allen (David) of Dexter City, Ohio and Anastasia Grady of Parkersburg; two grandsons Issiah Grady of Mineral Wells and Elijah Grady of Parkersburg; four granddaughters Samantha Dulaney (Kevin) of Belpre, Ohio, Ava Grady of Parkersburg, Kortney Allen of Dexter City, Ohio, and Abigail Grady of Parkersburg; a great grandson Asher Dulaney of Belpre, Ohio; and a brother Kenneth Grady of Vienna, W.Va.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Robert Grady.
Services will be Sunday 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Vienna, with Reverend Bob Lizer officiating. Burial will be at Hardman Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg and Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.
