Wilma E. "Pearl" McCauley, 88, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away Jan. 4, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Archie and Wilma Deem Poling.
Wilma was a homemaker, and formerly worked at the American Viscose Co. She retired as site manager at Mineral Wells for the Wood County Senior Citizens Association after several years of service. Wilma was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of First Sams Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Barb Fluharty (Roger) of Mineral Wells; one son, Howard (Pat) McCauley (Karen) of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren, Mike McCauley Jr., Patrick McCauley Jr., Diana Smith and Jillian Murphy; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Glenna Poling and Beulah Radcliff, both of Mineral Wells.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Creed C. McCauley in 2006; one daughter, Wilma Jean McCauley; and a son, Mike McCauley.
Funeral services for Wilma will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will be in Big Tygart Cemetery in Mineral Wells. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
