Denver L. Deem, 75, of Vienna, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Dec. 24, 2013.
He was born August 19,1938, to his parents Ralph and Stella Deem, along with his twin brother, Denzil Deem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, and his wife of 53 years, Ruth Anne.
He is survived by his children, Mitchell Deem ( Charlene), Tonya Huffman (Bill), and Robin Lemon (Michael). His grandchildren, Michelle Dowell (Shane), Tosha Hardman ( Mike), Ashley Lemon (Warren Jr.), Zak Huffman (Amy), Jacob Lemon, John and Tara Maxson, and Lacey Collins. His great grandchildren, twins Emmijenn and Jayden, Warren Austin, Bella, Ty, Keegan, Xyler, Dylan, Nate, and Alex.
He worked 35 years at Corning Glass Works in Parkersburg. He took early retirement in 1988. He was an electrician by trade, working alongside his brother, Denzil.
He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He had served the Lord in many different ministries; Child Evangelism, Bus ministry, Junior church, Deacon, Board Member, Sunday School teacher, and Choir. He touched the lives of so many people.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, serving the Lord, and fishing and hunting. He loved his Christian buddies that came around and visited him at the hospital and at home. He had many friends that he loved and they loved him too. He will be missed by so many.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at Landmark Baptist Church, with Pastor Dwight Davis, Bro. Steve Fisher, and Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
