Leon B. Gragg, 81, of Parkersburg, went home to his Lord and Saviour and to be with the love of his life, his wife Betty, on Dec. 23, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born in Parkersburg on Feb. 19, 1932, son of the late Burget V. and Nellie Fury Gragg.

Leon had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 15. He had worked for Carborundum Metals, the West Virginia State Road, and retired from Burns Security. He was a member of Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene for many years. He sang gospel music with his wife for many years.

Surviving Leon are his son and daughter-in-law, John Gragg and Rhonda; and nephew, Tim Gragg and Pam of Mineral Wells. He was "Pappy" to Kyle, Veronica, Austyn (best little buddy); and the Midcap family. He is also survived by his good friend, Sharon Armour.

In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Ann Case Gragg in October 2008; brother, Paul Gragg; and sister-in-law, Idabelle.

The service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Bob Kniley officiating. Military services will be provided by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, and for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
