Amanda Aileen O'Toole, 95, of Parkersburg, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Piqua, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carl and Eva Kelley.
Mrs. O'Toole was a former employee of the Roper Corporation in Newark, Ohio, and retired from Lucent Technologies. She loved to travel, was very creative with a variety of crafts, and was an avid collector of Boyd's Bears.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Weekley of Parkersburg and Margaret Flanagan of Newark, Ohio; six grandchildren, Sherry Brown, Lisa (Jeremy) Lessner, Kim (Jeff) Augustein, Jody (Clarence) Brown, Drema (Gary) Shelton and Tracy (Vickie) Flanagan; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her pet dogs, Max and Sheena; and a special friend, Traci Cox of Atlanta, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Michael O'Toole in 1973; one son, Michael O'Toole; one sister, Mary Powell; one brother, Robert Kelley; and a grandson, Mark Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pasi Sikio officiating. Graveside service and committal will be 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Newark, Ohio, with Rev. J.C.P. Sullivan conducting services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until time of service Sunday.
