Donald "Mac" Becker of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Parkersburg, died Dec. 11, 2013, after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 7, 1948, the son of the late Donald Kay Becker and the late Jean Becker Couture.
Mac is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debby Stout Becker; and four sons, Mac and Sam of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Ben of Savannah, Ga., and Andy (Maria) of Parkersburg. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Becker Mason (Rick) of Cranberry, Pa.
He was a graduate of WVU 1970 Political Science, BS. He was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master for many years, and was honored with the Order of the Arrow and the Silver Beaver Award. Mac was an award-winning insurance agent for 30 years and for the past few years, he was an equally successful real estate agent in Pawleys Island, S.C. Mac especially enjoyed fishing with his family and friends.
A private celebration of life gathering will be at Canaan Valley, W.Va., at a later date.
The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
