Josephine "Jo" Fetch, 72, of Parkersburg, died Dec. 6, 2013, at Wyngate Senior Living.
She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Wood County, to the late Harry and Kathleen (Deem) Sims.
Jo attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and retired from Montgomery Ward, working in sales. She enjoyed working on puzzles and helping people with whatever she could. She was known as a great cook and also had a love for all animals.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jerry Fetch; five children, Shelia Moore (Doug) of Davisville, Clyde Lowers Jr. (Wanda) of Parkersburg, Michelle Webster (Mitch) of Moorefield, W.Va., Angela Fletch (John) of Parkersburg and Christina Turner (Doug) of Vienna; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Dowler and Rhonda Hanshaw; two brothers, Bill and Lewis Sims; and one sister-in-law, Bernadette Fetch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tina and Darlene Sims; and one brother, Ronald Sims.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Ohio Valley Humane Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Monsignor Joseph Peterson officiating. Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
