L. Jean Welsh, 79, of Coolville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus, Parkersburg.
She was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Coolville, Ohio, daughter of the late Kelly and Bertha Ward Collins.
She was a member of the Coolville United Methodist Church as well as the Coolville United Methodist Women, Daughters of America in Chester and the VFW Auxiliary in Tuppers Plains.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita (Craige) Seals; three grandchildren, Sherri, Marsha and John; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Welsh; a son, David Welsh; a brother, Leslie Collins; and a half brother, Mayford Cook.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, Ohio, with Rev. Katherine Riley officiating. Burial will be in the Coolville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
