Gary Lee Joy, 66, of Cairo, W.Va., went to be with his beloved wife in Heaven on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at his residence.
Gary was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Welcome and Dorothy (Ball) Joy.
For 40 years, Gary served the citizens of Ritchie County as the owner and operator of Joy's Trash Disposal. He was a graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1966 and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Gary greatly enjoyed hunting, farming and racing, and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his three daughters, Teressa R. Sinnett (Shawn) of Ellenboro, W.Va., Donna J. Sinnett Arnett (Ronald) of Glendale, and Sherri Lea Joy Nichols (John) of St. Marys, W.Va.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Carolyn Cowell of Ellenboro, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Patricia Ann Joy, on April 14, 2013.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with burial to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery (Twin Oaks). Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
