Judy Kay McKinley, 70, of Washington, W.Va., died Nov. 22, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late E. Herbert and Wilda Lowe Miller.
She retired from the Wood County Board of Education as a school teacher at Lubeck Elementary School, was a member of Lynn Street Church of Christ, and the Eden Island Garden Club. She was a graduate of West Liberty University and West Virginia University and held degrees in Home Economics, Education with a Reading Specialist certification and a Master's degree plus 45 additional hours.
She is survived by her loving husband and constant companion of 45 years, William Lee McKinley; three daughters, Susan K. McKinley of Huntington, Kathy L. McKinley of Charleston and Kristy A. (Jason) Ferrebee of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Bailey Ann Ferrebee; one brother, John W. (Mary Alice) Miller of Moundsville; two sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Katzmeyer of Gahanna, Ohio, and Mary Lou (Gunnard) Rubini of Miami, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of close family friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Spychalski, Dr. Hamirani, Camden Clark Medical Center staff, Gentiva Home Health, and caregivers Jennifer Burdette and Hannah Custred, for the special care and friendship they provided Judy over the years.
Visitation will be Monday from noon-1 p.m., with services following at 1 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Dave Ellenwood officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.
