Steve J. Lake, 47, of Parkersburg, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at his home.
He was born July 8, 1966, in Parkersburg, to Donald Lake and Glenna (Lemley) Radcliff.
Steve was the owner/operator of Lake Cleaning Services. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15 and the Eagles Club #2307. He was an avid woodworker. He enjoyed listening to "old" style country music especially Hank Williams Jr., watching western movies and playing his guitar, but most of all he loved relaxing at home with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Lake; his mother, Glenna May Radcliff (Jess); three sons, Joseph Cain (Emily), B.K. Nichols (Kayla), and Jonathan Nichols (Joni); two daughters, Jenna Nichols (Joey) and Alicia Cottrill (Kevin); 10 grandchildren, Charity, Emily, Caleb, Cole, Ava, Evan, Hannah, Dylan, Mercedes and Brenton; two sisters; two brothers; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lake; and one nephew, Michael Galloway.
Memorial contributions in Steve's name may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Make a Wish Foundation.
The funeral service will be Thursday, Nov. 21, beginning at 11 a.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow the service at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
