Charles Williams

Charles R. Williams, 90, of Vienna passed away Nov. 12, 2013, at Worthington Manor Nursing Home.

Charles was born Sept. 4, 1923 at Spencer, W.Va., the son of the late Tandy Jake and Mary M. Rader Williams.

He retired from Universal (Diamond) Glass with over 45 years of service and was a member of the U.S. Navy. Charles loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, and listening to gospel and bluegrass music.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Bonnie L. Cline Williams; three daughters, Linda Lattea of Vienna, Elaine James of West Union and Catherine Cox (Delbert) of Williamstown; two sons, Charles "David" Williams (Debbie) of Vincent, Ohio and Jeff Williams of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren Chris Lattea (Jill) of Vienna, Curtis Lattea of Morgantown, W.Va., Mike Williams (Wendi) Belpre, Ohio, Laura Williams of Vincent Ohio, Karen Williams of Vincent, Ohio, Seth James (Heidi) of West Union, W.Va., Emily Burnside (Bobby) of West Union, Carrie Adams (Tim) West Union, Levi and Amber Cox of Williamstown, W.Va.; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Cher Lattea; one great-grandson, Chance Lattea; three brothers, Paul, Russell, and Roy Williams; four sisters, Opal Riel, Chessie Anderson, Irene Korzep, and Helen Dye.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave.,Vienna, with Rev. Jerry Caplinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
