Emelyn Linkinoggor, 90, of Looneyville, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, in the Miletree Center, Spencer, after an extended illness.
She was born June 24, 1923, at Duck, a daughter of the late Dyer and Emma Vaughn Duffield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hiawatha Linkinoggor; sisters, Cora Moore and Wilma Eyermann; and brothers, Carl, Spencer, Cecil and Russell Duffield.
She was a retired LPN, mother and grandmother. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially her family.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Toni Linkinogger of Scotland, Ark., John and Cathy Linkinoggor of Looneyville, and Mark Linkinoggor of Parkersburg; brother, Paul Duffield of California; seven grandchildren, Alicia Clarkson, Stephenie Watson, Chandis Linkinogger, Amanda Strickland, Adam Linkinoggor, Ashley Linkinoggor and Joseph Linkinoggor; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Point Cemetery, Newton. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
