Dolleta Lemon Smith, 82, of Parkersburg, left to be with her Lord, Oct. 29, 2013, at the Camden Clark Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1931, and raised in Braxton County, W.Va. She was an accomplished poet and writer and a member of Calvary Memorial Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vivian Headley (Don) of Coolville; parents, Anderson Goad and Edith Lemon; sisters, Betty Mollohan and Claudia Brown; and brothers, Leroy Lemon, Larry Lemon, Ray Lemon and Jarrett Lemon. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Wright and Sharon Anderson; sisters, Margaret Dustman, Karen Hill and Martha Reece; brother, Jerry Lemon; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville; graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Cemetery in Portersville, Ohio. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m., at Calvary Memorial Church in Parkersburg.
