Dorothy Evelyn Westfall, 88, of Parkersburg, passed away on Oct. 30, 2013, at Eagle Point Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 5, 1925 in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Brum Starkey.
Dorothy was a treacher's aide for the Intermediate School of Beaver County, Pa., and was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed making afghans for family and friends and was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Burke Westfall; three children, Thomas (Pamela) Westfall of Willow Springs, N.C., Gilda Haddox of Parkersburg, and James (Terry) Westfall of Easley, S.C.; seven grandchildren, Greg (Jennifer) Westfall, Shelly Westfall, Ben (Kimber) Haddox, Michael (Jen) Haddox, Travis Westfall, Tyler Westfall and Trey Westfall; and two great-grandchildren, Maddie Westfall and Greyson Haddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Joe Busch and Pastor Michael Haddox officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
