Don Alleman

Wallace Donald Alleman, 85, of Cutler, went to be with the Lord, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Marietta Center.

He was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Richard Wallace and Clara Allton Alleman.

Don had proudly served his country as a medic in the Army, working at the Walter Reed Hospital. He had worked for Holsum Bakery as a sales manager in Florida for several years and retired from Chemical Leaman of Sistersville. In retirement, he worked for Ohio Valley University. He was a member of the Little Hocking Church of Christ.

Surviving Don are his wife, Margaret Ward Alleman; daughters, Sharon Renee Alleman and Cathy D. Neff, both of Charlotte; three granddaughters, Laura UnsWorth and Sonja Jobes, both of Charlotte, and Julia Penley of Marion, N.C.; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by one sister, Earlene Ward. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre.
