I am supporting Cathy Harper for city treasurer. For the past 18 years Cathy has been a dedicated public servant for our community. She served four terms on city council representing the 3rd ward. She chaired the Planning, Zoning and Annexation Committee and served on the Finance Committee building a solid foundation to work from in regard to the function and finances of our city government.
For the past 10 years Cathy has been involved with The Right Path, nine years as coordinator, leading and building a state award-winning coalition focused on the healthy development of the youth of our community. She has done this on a shoestring budget and sheer will. Cathy has served on a number of community initiatives and boards including Marietta Bantam Baseball League, Health Council, 2-1-1 implementation team to name a few, and has been recognized for her dedication by being named Civitan Woman of the Year, Telesis Community Leader of the Year and The Enrique Camarena Statewide Prevention award to recognize individuals who do an outstanding job in the field of alcohol, drug and tobacco abuse prevention.
Cathy Harper has displayed the trustworthiness, dedication and integrity needed to be Marietta's next City Treasurer! Oh, and if you need a catchy phrase, then "think sharper, vote Harper." Join me in voting for Cathy Harper, City Treasurer, Nov. 5.
