PARKERSBURG -The high school football regular season is winding down.
Next weekend, Ohio teams will play their final games before the top ones head to the playoffs.
West Virginia teams have two more weeks of regular season play before the postseason begins.
As always, some local teams already have clinched playoff berths, others are on the verge of doing so and many simply are playing for pride down the stretch.
The biggest game of the upcoming week will take place at Ravenswood's Flinn Field where the host Red Devils, the Class AA champions of the Little Kanawha Conference, will entertain undefeated St. Marys, the only Class A team in the league that hasn't tasted defeat.

Both of Parkersburg's Class AAA teams -owners of just two wins each -will hit the road. Parkersburg South will travel to Wheeling Park, which has lost just once, while Parkersburg High will visit Riverside, which has just one win.
The Patriots and Big Reds will play their annual city rivalry game the final week of the regular season at the Erickson All-Sports Facility.
Also, Paden City will travel to South Harrison.
In Ohio games, a Washington County showdown will take place at Belpre, where the Golden Eagles will attempt to complete a .500 season against Waterford; Caldwell looks for its eighth win and a playoff berth against Shenandoah at the Noble County Fairgrounds; Marietta will end its season at Don Drumm Stadium against visiting Zanesville; Warren will travel to Logan; Federal Hocking will play host to undefeated Trimble, which is looking to wrap up the Tri Valley Conference title; Frontier Local will entertain River; and Eastern travels to Southern on Saturday.
