Donna L. Wells, 68, of Palestine, W.Va. passed away Oct. 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Braxton County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Garlen Hugh and Efiba Marie McClung Kyer.
She had graduated from Beauty School in Charleston, W.Va. and had been a beautician at the Golden Shears Salon in Parkersburg. She loved gardening and working in her flowers, she was an animal lover and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Theodore "Ted" Wells Jr. of Palestine; her son, Theodore "Pete" Wells III (Deborah Kay Morris) of Palestine; her daughter, Vearlie Virginia "Jenny" Tugman (David) of Palestine; one grandson, John Robert Tugman (Brittany) stationed with the U. S. Navy in San Diego, Calif. Her sisters, Carolyn Thorn of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Lois Collins (Cecil) of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her brothers, Doren Kyer (Shirley) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Koen Kyer of Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Lynn Kyer.
Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg to be followed by a graveside visitation Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wells Cemetery in Palestine.
