Michael Joseph Crake, 51, formerly of Parkersburg, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 22, 2013, after a brief fight with cancer. He was surrounded with loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Frank Crake; mother, Rita Marie Crake; and sister, Linda Marie (Crake) DeCarlo.
He is survived by his spouse, Ellen Reeder; brother, Mark David Crake; sister, Mary Beth Shiver; and brother, Robert John Crake (wife, Shelley); and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Parkersburg, Michael moved to Oklahoma City upon his graduation from West Virginia University. With a degree in Business and Finance, he was employed as a bonds trader with the Baker Group since 1985. Michael's interests were diverse, and he pursued these with enthusiasm and passion. Michael was an avid runner, music enthusiast, the greatest proponent of Coop Ale Works, and admired quality wood craftsmanship. Always humble about his accomplishments and a kind soul, Michael imparted his enthusiasm for life and life's pursuits to those who crossed his path. Michael's faith in the Lord prepared him to summit his final high point.
A Mass in remembrance of Michael is Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
