Ora JoAnn Cox

Ora JoAnn Cox, 83, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away Oct. 19, 2013, in the Marietta Center.

She was born in Rockport, a daughter of the late Ora H. and Lenora Mae Gant Blair.

Mrs. Cox retired from Walker Parkersburg and was a waitress at the former Wilmar Cafeteria. She attended St. Paul's U.M. Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Dr. Virginia Yvonne Cox of Morgantown, Lois P. Cain-Boggs (Howard) of Bethel Springs, Tenn., and Linda Coughlin- Ballas of Cleveland; one son, Timothy Gallaway (Tracy) of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three brothers, Harold, Paul and Jack Blair; and several grand, great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Bill Cox; one grandson, Sean; and one sister and four brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Interment will follow in the Limestone Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

The family requests memorial donations be considered to help defray unexpected expenses.
