BELPRE - It's the home stretch for the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce for the 76th annual Dinner from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5080 School House Road, Porterfield.
The social hour with light hors d'oeuvres will begin at 6 p.m. and the dinner served around 6:30 p.m.
"This year we have a lot more sponsorships for the dinner and a lot of community interest because of who this year's speaker is," said Karen Waller, executive director of the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce.

The keynote speaker will be 1997 Belpre High School graduate Dr. Katherine Coyner, an assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Coyner is a board eligible othopaedic surgeon and candidate for the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
As an athlete, Coyner was the first female basketball player at the University of Massachusetts to score 1,000 points and 500 assists and was nominated for the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Female Athlete of the Year. In 2004, Coyner was inducted to the Mid-Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame.

* About 100 people are expected to hear this year's keynote speaker, Dr. Katherine Coyner, a 1997 Belpre High School graduate and assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
* For the first time, there will be display tables to allow small businesses to highlight what they are and what they offer.
"Because Cathy is a local girl and her family was part of Belpre's business climate, we are curious to hear what she has to say," Waller said. "It should be an interesting evening."
The dinner will also allow the chamber of recognize businesses that have celebrated milestone events as well as those who made contributions to the community and local business climate.
For the first year, Waller said the chamber will have informational tables out so community members and learn about small locally-owned businesses.
"People have really helped us with this year's dinner and we are doing what we can to make it really pleasant," Waller added.
Tickets for the dinner are still available at $30 each and menu choices include roast beef, chicken cordon bleu or stuffed shells with side items and dessert. Table sponsorship is available.
