The Parkersburg Fire Department is at a fire at 1047 Laird Ave.
The house is occupied by four adults and seven kids, of which six were in school.
Four adults and a toddler escaped from the second floor, according to witnesses.
They were taken to Camden Clark Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, authorities at the scene said.
Mary Ross, a neighbor heard someone yell for help. She looked out the window and saw smoke.
Michael Gray, a nearby resident, was walking by and saw a woman jump from the porch roof- about 10 feet off the ground - with a baby in her arms.
The scene this morning at a fire on Laird Avenue. Smoke could be seen from far away.
"The whole bottom floor was engulfed," he said.
Gray said he helped the woman to the corner.
In addition to holding the baby, the woman also was pregnant.
"She thought she was going into labor," Gray said.
The woman was bleeding from her mouth and couldn't move her arm, Gray said.
She was covered in black soot he added.
He said the two women, a man and a child were on the porch roof.
"They said they were asleep. The woke up to the fire " Gray said.
Sara Hall-Hudson, a relative of the occupants, saw flames from the Board of Education office.
She was trying to move her brother's truck from in front of the house and was struck by the heat and flames.
