PARKERSBURG -Only one Mid-Ohio Valley team - 6-0 St. Marys -will take an undefeated record into Friday night's action, when it entertains Magnolia at Imlay Field.
But four area teams - including two from the city Parkersburg -will find themselves pitted against other teams that have yet to taste defeat.
Parkersburg High will entertain top-ranked and 6-0 Huntington in a must-win game for the 2-4 Big Reds, who have to win their final four games in order to make the Class AAA playoffs. Meanwhile, 6-1 Parkersburg Catholic will travel to Fayette County to meet 6-0 Valley Fayette in a game that will be worth a lot of ratings points for the winner of the Class A showdown.
Ravenswood, 4-2 following a Friday night win over Braxton County, will take a step up in competition when it travels to Class AAA Point Pleasant, which is off to a 6-0 start.
While Belpre won't have to travel, the Golden Eagles will have to welcome 7-0 Trimble to Ralph Holder Stadium. The Tomcats appear well on their way to winning the Tri Valley Conference championship.
A huge Pioneer Valley Conference game will take place at Beverly, Ohio, where 6-1 Fort Frye will meet 5-2 Caldwell in a game with playoff implications for both teams.

Parkersburg South will travel to Wellsburg to meet Two Rivers Athletic Conference rival Brooke, which has tasted victory just once this season. Wood County's other team, once-beaten Williamstown, will travel to Wirt County to meet the Tigers in a Little Kanawha Conference contest.
Other LKC games will witness Roane County celebrating Homecoming against visiting Calhoun County and South Harrison traveling to Tyler Consolidated in a matchup of two-win teams.
In non-league games, Doddridge County, on the verge of clinching a Class A playoff berth, will travel to Reedsville, Ohio, to meet upset-minded Eastern, while Gilmer County, also a playoff contender, will entertain Hannan.
Tri-Valley Conference games, in addition to the Belpre-Trimble matchup, include Wahama visiting South Gallia, Federal Hocking entertaining Miller and Waterford traveling to Southern.
For the second time this season, Warren will play a game on a neutral field when the Warriors meet Gallia Academy at Athens High School. Earlier, Warren opened its season against Parkersburg at Marietta's Don Drumm Stadium.
Other games include once-beaten New Philadelphia traveling to Marietta, Paden City visiting Bishop Donahue and Frontier Local traveling to Wetzel County to meet Valley.
