PARKERSBURG - Quite a few intriguing matchups highlight this weekend's slate of area high school football games.
At the top of the list tonight is Marietta and Parkersburg meeting at newly-reopened Stadium Field at 7:30 p.m.
The visiting Tigers are 1-3, with their lone win in the season opener over Morgan.
The Big Reds, meanwhile, bring a 1-2 record into the game, having bested Warren in Week 1, but then getting clubbed by both Cabell Midland (40-7) and Capital (55-20) their next two times out.
Parkersburg South (1-3) tries to get on track tonight after three straight losses, but must down University (3-1) on the road at 7:30 p.m.
Williamstown puts its 3-0 mark on the line tonight versus visiting Ravenswood (2-1) at 7:30 p.m., the same time Belpre (1-3) kicks off against host Federal Hocking (2-2).

Also in the LKC tonight, 2-2 Roane County entertains winless Braxton County (0-4) at 7:30 p.m. in Spencer.
PVC gridiron confrontations tonight find 3-0 Fort Frye at 2-2 Monroe Central, Frontier (2-2) at Beallsville (3-1) and Caldwell (2-2) at River (0-4) - all with 7 p.m. start times.
Other TVC contests tonight are Waterford (1-3) at Wahama (3-1) and Eastern at South Gallia, both standing at 2-2, in 7:30 p.m. tilts.
Rounding out the list of games tonight are Gilmer County (2-2) playing host to Buffalo (0-4), while Huntington (4-0) visits Ripley (0-4) and Hundred (0-4) travels to Paden City (1-3) with all kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday night sports two prep games in the area, one each in West Virginia and Ohio.
Parkersburg Catholic (3-1) and Wirt County (1-3) meet up in a 7:30 p.m. LKC battle at Stadium Field, while at Warren, the host 2-2 Warriors take on the Meigs Mauraders, also 2-2, in a 7:30 p.m. SEOAL tussle.
