James E. Wilson, 76, of Parkersburg, W.Va. died Wednesday Sept. 18, 2013, at CCMC Memorial Campus.
He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Jesse E. and Arthelia (Feick) Wilson.
He was a painting contractor and an avid hunter. He also enjoyed spending weekends at his cabin in Ritchie County.
He is survived by his wife Helen Hay Wilson; three sons James E. Wilson, Jr. of Walker, W.Va., Barry Wilson of Cairo, W.Va., and Bruce Wilson of Parkersburg; five step-children Lynne Brooks (Steve) of Lewis Center, Ohio, Michael Sakach (Suzanne) of Hollywood, Md., Thomas Sakach (Dee) of Shanghai, China, Joseph Sakach (Susan) of Blue Bell, Pa., and Kara Sakach of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; a brother Asa Wilson of Parkersburg; and a sister Betty Penn (Robert) of Parkersburg.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons Blaine and Bryan Wilson, and a brother Jack Wilson.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
