PARKERSBURG - The Winter Market will hold an informational meeting Thursday for interested vendors.
Organizers will speak go over this year's rules and regulations and the layout and activities planned for the market's new 113 Ann St. location. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in council chambers on the second floor of the Parkersburg Municipal Building.
In addition to local growers and other agriculture-based products, arts, crafts and home-based businesses are encouraged to attend the meeting and submit an application.
"The Winter Market is a great platform to showcase local goods and services in the community," said Rickie Yeager, city planner and organizers with the market. Vendors that want to participate and are not planning to sell produce or other agriculture-based products, should bring an example of their wares to the meeting this Thursday to be juried.
"This will help speed up the process of admitting vendors," Yeager said.
Perspective vendors who cannot attend the meeting should email Tammy Bunner at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-304-424-8542 to make additional arrangements. Space is limited, so organizers are encouraging vendors to get their applications in quickly.
The Winter Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Saturday of each month, October through March. More information will be made available online at www.parkersburgfarmersmarket.com and www.parkersburgcity.com.
