Russell H. Taylor

Russell H. Taylor, 87, of Williamstown, died on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

He was born Sept. 4, 1926 in Calhoun County, to the late Okey and Lucy (Parsons) Taylor.

Russell served in the U.S. Army in WWII and also in the Korean War. He retired from O-Ames as a pipe fitter in the Maintenance Dept. He was a member of the Summit Valley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and camping on the Williams River in Marlinton, W.Va.

He is survived by three sons, Russell H. (Roseanne) Taylor of Williamstown, Roger L. (Terry) Taylor of Waverly, and Richard G. Taylor of Williamstown; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Taylor; three sons, Randy, Jimmie and Kenneth Taylor.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at 1 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with burial to follow at Nicholas Cemetery in Calhoun County. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
