Paul L. Wigal, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away Sept. 1, 2013, at the Arbors of Marietta.
He was born March 12, 1941 in Mineral Wells, a son of the late Clarence C. and Minnie G (Eneix) Wigal.
He retired from E. I. DuPont after 33 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a local dirt track enthusiast and built stock-car engines and supported local drivers.
He is survived by his brother, Glen Wigal (Lorraine) of Schertz, Texas; nieces, Ann Herman of Vera Beach, Fla., Patricia Bennett of Athens, Ohio, and Pamela Riley of Parkersburg; nephews, Steven Riley of Marietta, Ohio, and David Riley of Waterford, Ohio; and his good friend, John Maston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Riley; and a niece, Karen Wigal.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery, with Minister Hoss Ridgeway officiating. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 15.
