Eleanor Reeder Smith, 96, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on Aug. 27, 2013, at the Willows Center.
She was born Aug. 24, 1917 in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Lieu Daugherty Reeder.
Eleanor was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting recipes, embroidering and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Somerville of Mineral Wells; one son, Billy Smith of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Rebecca Wagner (Josh) of Williamstown, Ty Smith (Stefanie) of Marietta, Ohio, and Brittany Winland (Benny) and Samuel Smith, both of Morgantown, W.Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Levi Wagner and Demetrie Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen R. Smith; one son, Gary Smith; and one brother, Wilbur Reeder.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Rufus Hoalcraft officiating. Interment will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
