Clarence K. Vannoy, 78, of Belpre, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 17, 2013.
He formerly resided in Coshocton, Ohio, for 18 years. He was a member of Calvary Community Church. He retired from AB Chance in Parkersburg, and worked all his life to care for his family.
He was born on March 5, 1935, to Holly and Effie McWilliams Vannoy of Gilmer County, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Lou Weaver Vannoy of 57 years. Also surviving are his three daughters, Connie (Mike) Valentine of Belpre, Ohio, Donna (Don) Robinson of Belpre, Ohio, and Lori (Reggie) Martin of Caldwell, Ohio; his grandchildren, James Harrington and family of Gurdon, Ark., Shane Harrington and family of Marietta, Ohio, Sheena Hoskins and family of Lowell, Ohio, Mikki Callam and husband, Sgt. David Kallum of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Montana Martin of Caldwell, Ohio, Kenneth Martin of Caldwell, Ohio, Staff Sgt. Jeff Valentine and family of Ft. Campbell, Ky., and Cameron Robinson of Belpre, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Edna Chapman of Marietta, Ohio, and Bertha Roberts of Eastlake, Ohio; brothers, Bernard Vannoy of Kennet Square, Pa., and Harry (Mary) Vannoy of Mentor, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Bryan Vannoy; sisters, Leona Wright, Olena Ball and Betty Koon; and brothers, Harold Vannoy and Garry Vannoy.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with Pastor Ken Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow in Fariview Cemetery, Belpre.
