VIENNA - The West Virginia Clothing Voucher program is coming to Grand Central Mall.
West Virginia residents began applying for school clothing vouchers on July 1 and about 20 stores at the Vienna mall will be accepting them.
The Department of Health and Human Resources said the vouchers are meant to be used toward the purchase of school clothing or families who sew clothing for their children can use the vouchers to buy piece goods.
A small blue sign hangs in a store front of the Grand Central Mall showing it accepts West Virginia clothing vouchers.
Each eligible child will received a $200 voucher. Families must use the vouchers at the participating stores by Oct. 31.
Shoppers can identify participating retailers while shopping at the mall by looking for a blue and white sign on their store front, reading "We proudly accept WV Clothing Vouchers."
A complete list can be found at Guest Services, as well as at www.grandcentralmall.com.
Mall retailers accepting vouchers are Aeropostale, Buckle, Champs, The Children's Place, Deb, Elder-Beerman, Finish Line, J.C. Penney, Justice, Live Love Dream, Maurices, Old Navy, P.S. from Aeropostale, Rue 21, Sears, Shoe Dept. Encore, Spencer Gifts and Vanity.
