PARKERSBURG - Around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, a Mineral Wells woman was struck by a truck on Market Street, police said.
City police said Carl Davis, 55, of Parkersburg backed his 1996 Ford F-150 into Nancy Bennett,76, of Mineral Wells.
Witnesses said Bennett stepped behind the pick-up truck as it was backing up on Market Street in front of the Blennerhassett Hotel. First responders said the woman was bleeding from her head.
Police said Bennett was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
Police said they believe the woman was knocked out for a brief time, but first responders said she regained consciousness before emergency crews arrived.
Davis was issued citations for failure to use due care while backing up and driving on a suspended license.
A hospital official said Bennett was treated and released Thursday.
