P. Joanne Golden

P. Joanne Golden passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was the daughter of the late Porter E. Bever Sr. and Madge Hill Bever.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School and retired as a deputy clerk from Wood County Circuit Clerk's Office.

She was married to the late Arthur D. (Peanut) Golden, together raising three children, Arthur D. "Butch" Golden (Patti) of Parkersburg, Kathy L. Wharton of Vienna, and Nancy J. Hall (Roger) of Boaz. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Frum Bever of Arizona. Being the last member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Porter E. Bever, Jr. and Thomas L. Bever, both of Arizona; two sisters, M. Sue Summers of Parkersburg and Dorothy L. Bever, who died at a young age; two sons-in-law, Ronald C. Kirby and Emerson Wharton; a sister-in-law, Ruth File Bever of Arizona; and brother-in-law, Hollis Summers.

There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held Aug. 10, at 2 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Cemetery for those wishing to attend.

Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Vienna is in charge of the burial arrangements.
