Benjamin David Cole, 62, of Vienna, passed away July 26, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 6, 1950, in Parkersburg, son of the late Rev. Jewell (J.C.) Cole and Mary Shirley Cole.
He was retired from Nickle's Bakery and worked to the closing of Stork Baking Co. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Life Line Apostolic Church in Vienna, and was a member of the Patriot Honor Guard. He loved motorcycles and woodworking.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Michell Anderson Cole; two daughters, Mary Jo Cole of St. Louis, Mo., and Davian Cole Elmasian (Nick) of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Timothy W.R. Cole (Amanda) of Laken-Heath Air Force Base, England, and Jeff Davis of Vienna; a sister, Hilda Cole Cunningham; and six grandsons. He was loved greatly by his wife's family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, the Rev. Billy Cole.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Danny Hopkins and the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
