Lucinda Marie "Cindy" Woodrow, age 52, of Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Alma, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on Feb. 13, 1961 in Alma, Mich., the daughter of Donald L. and Gloria G. (Horton) Woodrow. Cindy was a 1979 graduate of Alma High School and attended Montcalm Community College and graduated from Ferris State University in 1988 with degrees in accounting and computer science. Cindy loved working on computers and was currently the Computer Programmer for Mountain State Blue Cross Blue Shield in Parkersburg, W.Va. She was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan and enjoyed knitting. She specially loved her cats.
Cindy is survived by her children, Joe Root of St. Cloud, Minn. and Dani Root of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Beasley of North Carolina; her mother, Gloria Woodrow of Alma; her sister, Becky Woodrow of Moncks, South Carolina, and her brother, Lance G. Woodrow of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald L. Woodrow, and a brother Joseph L. Woodrow.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at the East Superior Christian Church with Dr. Jim Amstutz officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Gardens Cemetery, Elwell.
