Winifred Pearl Hinzman, 97, a resident of Care Haven, Belmont, W.Va., formerly of Ritchie County, died July 18, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1916 at Burnt House, W.Va., the daughter of the late Elmore and Alice Virginia Goff Summers.
Winifred was a cook for the Ritchie County Board of Education and the Hi-Way Grille. She was also a house mother for Hall-Acres Boys Home, in Parkersburg. She was a 50-year member of Miriam Rebekah Lodge, and Chapter 31 Order of Eastern Star. She was a Belle of Belmont and a member of Belin United Methodist Church, Murrell's Inlet, S.C.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois M. Holpp and Rita P. Wilson, both of St. Marys; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Winifred was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hinzman in 1965; daughter, Doris Clevenger; four brothers; three sisters; great-grandson, Chad Coon; and sons-in-law, Dean Holpp and Clifford Clevenger.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 21, with Rev. Darrell Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at Raiguel Funeral Home, Saturday from 5-8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulloughRaiguel.com
