David Neil Walker, 56, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away at his home on July 13, 2013.
He was born Feb. 21, 1957 in Spencer, W.Va., a son of the late Garnard Walker and Betty (Parsons) Walker.
David was a graduate of Spencer High School and a Baptist by faith. He retired as a Field Manager from the Defense Department in Baltimore, Md. and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Paula (Hood) Walker; two daughters, Bridgett Walker of Charleston, W.Va., and Brandi Ordonio of Ravenswood; four brothers, Randall (Dina) Walker of Spencer, Terry (Cheryl) Walker of High Point, N.C., Kevin (Shelly) Walker of Spencer, and Robin Walker of Charleston, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Lane Seal, Cody Seal, and Adelina Ordonio. He is also survived by a mother-in-law, Colleen Hood, and a sister-in-law, Kathy Greenleaf and her husband, Ron, a brother-in-law, David Hood and his wife, Patty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Alford Hood.
Donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, July 21, at 3 p.m. at the Ravenswood Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Skeen officiating.
The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service at the church.
