Dianna Pickens, 51, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away, July 16, 2013, at her residence.
She was born, Oct. 24, 1961, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of Truman Freeland of Pennsboro, W.Va., and the late Lorraine Hiley Freeland.
Dianna was a graduate of Pennsboro High School and a member of the St. Marys United Methodist Church. She had worked previously for Economy Industries in Harrisville, W.Va., and the Pleasants County Senior Center. Her main hobby was her kids and family.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Steve Pickens; children, Joshua Steven Pickens and Taylor Lorraine Pickens; three sisters, Clara Jane Hendrickson, Sharon Kay (David) Dean and Barbara Jo (Christopher) Hinzman; father-in-law, Lorrin Pickens of St. Marys, W.Va.; brother-in-law, David (Julie) Pickens of St. Marys, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Diana Pickens (John) Lanham of Belmont, W.Va.; and several niece, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra and Kimberly Dawn; brother, Truman Freeland, Jr.; and her mother-in-law, Madelyn Pickens.
Services will be held Friday, July 19, at 1 p.m., at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastors Cindy Eakle and Pam Shuman officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, and from noon- 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
