Robert Joseph Bobier, 80, of Parkersburg, passed away July 11, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late Jack and Catherine (Donahue) Bobier.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had owned and operated Bobier Electronics, serving Parkersburg for over 50 years. He was a member of the Parkersburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He was a pilot and also loved sailing, horses, farming and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sable Yoke Bobier; sons, Joseph Bobier (Angela) and Jeffrey Bobier (Dianna); grandchildren, Belinda Bobier Richards, Andrew Bobier, Daniel Bobier, Katie Bobier Schwendeman and Timothy Bobier; great-grandchildren, James Bobier and Chace Richards; a sister, Nancy Bobier; and a niece and three nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack William Bobier.
Services will be 5 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Daniel Morikone officiating and military services by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m.
