MIDDLEPORT, Ohio - Two methamphetamine laboratories were discovered in Meigs County in the last week, officials said Friday.
The Meigs County Sheriff's Office arrested two Middleport residents Friday after a meth lab was discovered, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
Homeowner Norma J. Ratliff, 39, and Ashley L. Hamilton, 29, both of 38028 Story's Run Road, Middleport, were charged with felony illegally manufactoring a four pot meth lab, officials said.

The Middleport Fire Department assisted and the Middleport Police Department neutralized the meth lab, officials said.
Ratliff has a prior conviction from Meigs County Common Pleas Court of charges stemming from a 2007 meth lab at the same residence. Hamilton also had an active warrant at the time of her arrest from Gallia County, Ohio, for illegally manufacturing meth, police said.
On Wednesday, deputies discovered a meth lab at 38338 Township Road 1004 in Harrisonville, Ohio. A one pot reactionary vessel was located, according to the sheriff's office.
John A. Ward, 48, and Matthew T. Gilmore, 18, both of Pomeroy, were charged with illegal manufacturing of meth. Assisting at the scene were the Middleport Police Department, Meigs County Children Services and the Rutland Fire Department.
