Irene Sue "Gag-gie" McVay, 59, of Pleasant View Towers, passed away July 1, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Calhoun County on April 2, 1954, a daughter of the late Arley Kellar and Elodene Crawford Kellar, and stepdaughter to the late Donald Kellar.
Irene was a member of Davisville Community Chapel and had formerly attended Spreading Truth Ministries, where she had taught Sunday School class. She was a homemaker and had received her GED from Parkersburg Christian School and had worked in a prison ministry. Irene was a dedicated mother and dearly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed making jewelry and going to the beach.
Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca (Leon) Poling of Elizabeth, and her son, Charlie Carver of Washington, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Jonathan Gill, Stephen Gill, Madison Braden, Adam Poling, Amber Poling and Brooke Poling; one great-grandchild, Delilah Gill; and two sisters, Nadine Ruble of Parkersburg and Sherrie Kellar of Lancaster, Ohio.
There will be a memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family.
