William J. Gibson

William J. "Pete" Gibson, 84, of Belpre died at his residence on Tuesday, July 2, 2013.

He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., on June 18, 1929, the youngest son of Luke and Katie Gibson.

He retired after 32 years with OK Trucking Co. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local #175. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #609 and Columbus Aladdin Temple. He was a 1948 graduate of Wirt County HIgh School.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by three daughters, Catherine S. Plummer (Gary) of Belpre, Margret A. Newberry of Belpre and Cheryl L. McCullough (Steve) of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Chad and Curt Plummer, Rachel and Brent Radabaugh, Tracy Machado and Elizabeth Adkins, and nine great grandchildren, Siera Radabaugh, Hayden, Logan and Jackson Plummer, Cody Wittekind, Caden Lawson, Darcy Selario, Brayden McCullough and Levi Adkins.

He enjoyed living in our neighborhood where everyone was like family. He enjoyed family vacations and cookouts and having his family around him.

He was proud of his truck collection and showed them to everyone that stopped in.

His special love and presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
