Larry W. Meredith, 62, of Vienna, passed away July 1, 2013, at the Arbors of Marietta.
He was born Aug. 24, 1950, in Grove City, Pa., the son of Bertha Geho Meredith Hudkins of Harrisville, W.Va., and the late Albert Wayne Meredith. Larry worked at Kincheloe Motors and Easy Rider (Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority), and was a member of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed camping, being with his family, Nascar and especially liked Tony Stewart and followed the San Francisco 49ers. He was a member of the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg, an avid bowler and bowled on several men's and mixed leagues. He was a member of the Harrisville Baptist Church and a graduate of the Harrisville High School Class of 1968.
Larry is survived by his wife, Teri Pickens Meredith, whom he married in May of 1984; one son, Bryan Meredith of Vienna; one sister, Diane Cunningham also of Vienna; one grandchild, Landon Meredith of Vienna; his step-father, Hayward Hudkins of Harrisville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services for Larry will be held Wednesday, July 3, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, at 6 p.m., with his cousin the Rev. Fred Devan officiating; military rights will be held by the American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m.
