Crystal Mae Thomas, 95, of Washington, W.Va., passed away June 21, 2013, at Worthington Manor in Parkersburg, following a long illness.
She was born March 7, 1918, at Jackson County, a daughter of the late Otha and Ina Thomas Price.
She was a Christian and homemaker that loved to quilt and garden. She attended Gospel Tabernacle in Parkersburg most recently.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Ervil Thomas, whom died in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Mangus; brothers, Darrell, Ronald and Clarven Price; and sisters, Melva Carpenter, Vonda Price and Ermalee Rhodes.
She is survived by sons, Larry A. Thomas and his wife, Julia, of Washington, and Forrest N. Thomas and his wife, Shirley, of Ripley; daughter, Joyce Mangus and her husband, Delmas, of Washington; sister, Orpha Casto of Nitro; grandchildren, Janelle Thomas, Richard Thomas, Kristina Whiteaker, Michael Thomas and Jeanette Mangus; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastors Wayne Boone and Jeff Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
