Shirley A. Patterson Beckner, 75, of Parkersburg, passed away June 15, 2013.
She was born in Wood County, the daughter of the late Aubra L. and Josie Taylor Patterson. She had attended Parkersburg High School and had been employed by The Colonial House, First Church of the Nazarene Daycare and Susan Kay Candy Company. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenna M. Carson (J.R.); her grandchildren, Melissa Carson McCoy (Clyde) and Marie Carson (Mike); her great-grandchildren, Carissa McCoy, Austin McCoy, David McCoy, Clyde McCoy, Andrew Carson and Ashley Barker; and her sister-in-law, Lura Lee Moomau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph David Beckner; one son, Aubra David Beckner; her brothers, Paul and Charles Patterson; one sister, Carolyn Patterson; and her brother-in-law, George Moomau.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Pastor Keith Hostutler officiating. Interment will be in the Wilding Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m.
