Everett Wayne Blair

Everett Wayne Blair, 79, of Parkersburg, went to heaven to be with the Lord, on June 13, 2013.

Wayne was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Rockport, W.Va., a son of the late Ora H. and Lenora (Gant) Blair.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkersburg.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ankrom and Belinda Hescht, both of Vienna; son, Kevin Blair of Florida; grandchildren, Jeremy, Kevin, Wes, Kristen, Selena and Rachael; sister, Jo Ann Cox, Parkersburg; and brothers, Jack Blair, Parkersburg, Paul Blair, Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Harold Blair, Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Denver and Bill Blair; and sister, Eileen Galloway.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. David Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg. Friends may call the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Monday.

The family requests that donations be made to the Diabetes Assoc., 1100 Dennison Ave, Columbus, OH, 43201.
