PARKERSBURG - A Wood County Habitat for Humanity groundbreaking originally scheduled for today has been changed to Friday in anticipation of severe weather, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
The groundbreaking at 13th and Dillaway streets will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Habitat spokesman Lisa Collins said. The original time was 12:30 p.m. today.
Volunteers planned a "Raise the Roof" to have the house under roof in three days. The project is sponsored by the West Virginia Central Credit Union.
The National Weather Service is tracking a storm system through the Midwest that was expected to arrive in the area around midnight. Rain is forecast today.
